As you all know already, nothing is new and this blog is no exception. It's full of pictures of cars and bikes, mostly stolen from somewhere or other and the odd bit of useful & not so useful information for your enjoyment.

re-visiting

when I build a bike I usually push through getting the foundations in place and working right and then ride bypassing detailing anything, then its usually sold before I have a chance to come back to it.
well at long last I have a bike that I have been able to re-visit and get into the detailing of.
All I have done is a bit of paint, re-route wiring, drill some holes and investigate a few things that were baffling me.
I also have put some different bars on but I think they are a bit tall, so we will see if they stay, there are a couple other bits still outstanding like the front brace, rebuild the forks and a black headlight.
here are some pics so far.

Oh my tranny

My tranny seems to have a long throw on it compared to others so I pulled it to check everything was ok. I pulled everything out of the lid and checked it putting it back and timing the geara up correctly. It seems to be the same! Maybe there are different drums?

It's never easy

Wanted to move my ignition and now have but it's never as easy as it should be, I have also moved my rectifier back a bit, next will be to move the oil filter to behind the tranny.

Waxed

I have been after a shirt for riding in for a while but never found one that ticket all the right boxes, so I decided to make one work,  first I found a lined shirt that I liked, it had to have an internal pocket, buttons and not a zip, be made of a heavier cotton and not a flat cut around the waist.
I looked into how to wax fabric and bought some otter wax to wax the shirt.
This hopefully will give me a wind/water proof shirt for riding in that's not as space consuming as a coat. It's curring now and hopefully I will test it over the next couple days.

Homemade

Thought I'd have a go at making a new stainless shifter peg today.
I am happy with the end result.
