what a difference a rear wheel makes..

I am really happy with how this bike is looking, though i can't make up my mind about the rear fender position, leaning forward as in the first pic or more vertical - second pic.

What do you guys think?

love-hate relationship

My shovels ignition has been playing up so i spent a good few hours today trying to get it right, including sealing an intake and exhaust leak.  I'm nearly there and then i start having problems getting it in gear, only to find i have lost a nut from the clutch outer plate, so i find another one to get me home, put it on, and ping off it shoots when i push the foot pedal. F**K, and lots of other expressive words run through my mind.
i just can t believe my luck with this bike at the moment, its just one thing after another.
I just want to ride a reliable, individual, bike.

Anyway on the plus side i got a lift home on a matchless 650, from a very helpful biker.

just finished these drag bars, i am happy with them as they are only the second set of bars i ve made, and my first with my tig.

project update- played with a spray can or two today

  Got the tranny plate bolted in, and the fender supports mocked up.  The rear rim is at the powder coaters, so next week hopefully i will get the wheel built.

Also finished the rear brake anchor.

project update

19" jones rim, de-chromed by Niphos in Crewe, if you need a part chroming or de-chroming, go to them for great value for money and an excellent service.

The rim will be blasted and powder coated to match the offset harley hub and then laced, but this won t be done until i have a few more bits to powder coat unfortunately

a lot more practise needed here but i think its getting slightly better
